zanboorak
Zanboorak is a lamellophone instrument, consisting of a flexible metal or bamboo tongue or reed attached to a frame. Gopuz as the Turkmen calls it exists in nearly the same form and design all over the world.
Although this instrument is used by lackeys and people of the lower class, this does not mean it is not worthy of consideration by better mind.
An important aspect of this instrument is that it is widely performed by children. Their attempt to play the melodies with this instrument is a culture.
It is called by different names (estimated to be around 900) in different languages.
Morchang / morsing (India), Kou-Xian (China), Vargan (Russia), Munnharpe (Norway), Maultrommel (Germany), Guimbarde (France), Marranzano (Italy), Doromb (Hungary) and Dambrelis (Lithuania).
Aghel khan
Aghel Khan is the mother of the DAVAJI family . She cooks and throws a big ceremony of food for his guests. But being an Turkmen woman she knows how to play zanburak, cook the traditional food and raise a family in the culture.
pishme
Pishme is the traditional Turkmen snack. It is a fried dough treat. It is served with green tea during any celebrations. She made them fresh as we were seated and had the other fresh and organic things that has been made for us in her brand new electronic oven instead of the traditional fire ovens.
